Our Projects
1
ANDREW'S AMBASSADORS PROJECT

The Andrew's Ambassadors program is a very important initiative, based on the premise that making a real difference is not only possible but vital. At Andrew Lindhardt Memorial Foundation, volunteering is a source of great pride for our Non-Profit Organization.

Highlighting True Stakeholders
Andrew's Ambassadors will be comprised of persons with Special Needs and persons who are Medically Complex and these individuals will present at various venues to educate the Public and Professionals who work with them about the unique needs of this community and will offer an authentic voice so as to increase awareness and to educate to create understanding, acceptance and to foster positive change.

ANDREW'S FAMILY AND CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROJECT
Mental and Physical Health Support and Education
There is a major component of this journey that has gone on for too long unaddressed and that is the Mental Health component. Along with Self Advocacy training and education, Andrew's Family and Caregiver Support Project will work with Persons with Medical Complexity/Patients and their Family Caregivers and the rest of their families to educate about the importance of seeking out appropriate Mental Health care support but also about identifying strategies and tools to enhance Mental Well-being in the face of many challenges.
Mind-Body Health education and training and activities will be a focus of this Project and together with Support Group offerings and various activities that will be scheduled there will be an emphasis on Physical Health and Mental Health as foundational.
Andrew had an amazing faith in families and in people generally and saw the good in everyone. In memory of how Andrew lived each day of his life with courage, Andrew's Family and Caregiver Support Project will encompass a:
Patient and Family Support Program:

Self-Advocacy Education
For Family and Caregivers of Adults and Children who are medically complex and who are navigating the public and private medical and social service agencies. This is a daunting task so education on legal rights and how to negotiate accommodations are incredibly important in order for these individuals to make informed consent in medical settings but also to understand the spectrum of valuable services available to them so they can optimize their quality of life.

ANDREW'S
LIGHT
PROJECT
Help Us Shine a Light To Improve and Refine Medical System Encounters for Persons Who are Medically Complex/
Medically Fragile. Andrew's Light initiative will prove to be a powerful tool to successfully serve our Medically Complex community and improve countless lives by working collaboratively with the medical community.
Shining a Light
By shining a light on what gaps there are we will work together with the medical system to refine practice and process so it is person-centered, family-oriented, and respectful of patients and family caregivers and in home nurses-all so critical to the health, safety and well-being of patients.

Liaison Nurse Program
Andrew's Light Project will work to foster true collaboration specifically through a Liaison Nurse Program working with the families, and with the medical group and hospital professionals, in a safe and positive respectful collaboration.
